Meet a Keypather: Rob Young
As Managing Director, Rob serves as the main contact between Keypath and its partner institutions. He works with Keypath鈥檚 functional teams to drive enrollment growth and help partner schools achieve their goals.聽
What excites you about working for Keypath?聽
Knowing I am surrounded by talented individuals who are committed to the success of our partner institutions across continents. I enjoy working collaboratively with our partner schools to ultimately impact the student experience in a positive and meaningful way. It鈥檚 exciting to see all the functional teams within Keypath driving to add value to our partnerships on a consistent basis. 聽
Where do you see your specialty going in the next five years?
As our functional support evolves through technology and innovation, our partnerships will evolve too. As students鈥 needs change, we must be ready to meet their demands and support our partner schools鈥 relevance and competitiveness. The importance of building relationships and trust with key stakeholders at our partner schools may not change, but how I do this as a Managing Director very well may.
How can you use your skills to change the student experience for the better?
I may be the face of Keypath to our partner schools, but we have so many talented people working behind the scenes, delivering quality work output, and creating positive student experiences. I use my skills to make sure we deliver on expectations and ensure that students have a seamless experience: from seeing a commercial to graduating with their desired degree.
What is a favorite quote that motivates you?
Different quotes stick with me at different times in my life and career. Currently, I鈥檓 focused on how important it is to execute innovatively, because even small changes impact the student experience. Vijay Govindarajan said, 鈥淥ngoing operations are at odds with innovation.鈥 We must recognize this. If we don鈥檛 prioritize actions that lead to change we will end up marching in place.
Is there a hobby you can鈥檛 live without?
I could live without golf, but I prefer not to. I am teaching my kids how to play. I love having them with me and watching them learn about a great game.
