Explain in two or three sentences what your role at Keypath entails.

I help students find the right university program that they鈥檙e looking for through various marketing tactics and targeted messaging. I also am the contact between the Keypath marketing team and the Canadian partner university鈥檚 marketing team.

What excites you about working for Keypath?

I love that I play a part in helping students further their education, as I鈥檓 a big believer in lifelong learning. I had to take my university courses online as I worked full time, so I can directly relate to our prospective students. It鈥檚 a great feeling to know that we鈥檙e helping motivated students who want to learn to find a degree program that will directly impact and advance their careers.

I also love the people and culture that Keypath fosters. Keypath as a company is a large proponent of collaboration, regardless of what office you鈥檙e in or even if you are a remote employee. I work with a great team that supports one another and helps in any way that they can, even across departments.聽

It鈥檚 great to be a part of a company that truly cares for its employees, so much so that I鈥檝e come back to Keypath after leaving for a year! The people and culture aren鈥檛 something that you can find anywhere else.

Where do you see your specialty going in the next five years?

Marketing is ever-changing, as it aligns directly with technology and the way that the world communicates. We must be ready for upcoming trends, as we must be present where our prospective students are. Students' motivations change and adapt throughout their career, and we must cater to each of these stages and which platforms they might be using throughout their journey. Adaptability is key; therefore, I must constantly be learning and staying up to date with emerging trends. As technology advances, our marketing tactics must also advance.

How can you use your skills to change the student experience for the better?

In my role, I get to impact the student鈥檚 initial impression of our partner universities. Our ads and website properties are often the first interaction the students have with our schools and programs. I get to use my skills to ensure that the students鈥 motivations are directly reflected within the content that we produce and that the content itself is shown to them at the exact right time.聽

I want to make sure that the students鈥 questions are answered, and their needs are met through our marketing efforts. Prospective students should be left with an understanding of what the program is, what they can potentially get out of it, and overall positive sentiment about the university that pushes them to then reach out to an enrolment advisor, or even apply for the program directly.

What is your favorite personal achievement?

My favorite personal achievement is, of course, being the first person in my family to graduate with a degree, while also working full time.聽

Recently though, it is recusing an out of control border collie puppy, due to the lifelong lessons that he鈥檚 already taught me in this short period of time. Training him has taught me an unwavering form of patience that I鈥檝e never known! He鈥檚 taught me to see things through until the end, no matter how challenging they may be, while enjoying the random moments of joy in life.

Is there a hobby you can鈥檛 live without?

I鈥檝e always loved hiking through the woods and in different walking trails throughout Ontario, and now even more so with my dog! There are so many close by parks and trails in Toronto that we must take advantage of when living in the city. It helps disconnect and provide mental clarity, even if just for a few hours!
